I was helping Xavier with fractions yesterday. He had to determine the least common denominator for 5/6 and 2/7.
X: 42
Me: Correct. And 5/6 is how many forty-twoths?
X: You said that wrong.
Me: I did?
X: Yeah, you said 'forty-twoths.'
Me: Oh, I'm sorry--"forty-teeth."
LOL He's so disappointed in me, but I just couldn't help myself.

Least common denominators? Now there's a concept I've had no use for in my life. Maybe because my life doesn't revolve around fractions....at least not those kind...
Well, now they call them "least common multiples," just to confuse the issue. I think I've only had to use the concept in adjusting recipes or something.
LOL. Have to come up with new terminology to keep us terminally confused...
